Park Rapids Fishing Report 6/19/16
Walleye- Hitting the deeper weed lines, shelves, and flats in 18’-20’ of water, some even stretching out to 25’ of water. Mostly pulling a lead head Kenkatch” Long Shank Jig” tipped with either a large leech, redtail, or golden shiner. For the non-live bait users tie on a number 7 Shad or scatter rap in a natural color for best luck at filling the limit.
Bass- Up shallow in 2’-6’ still looking for structure like lily pads, fallen timber, and shade on those hot sunny days. Having the best luck on a Lunkerhunt “Pocket Frog” because of the small size but still has a lot of action, making it look like a real frog hopping across the top of the water.
Northern- Out a little deeper in 5-10 ft of water looking for slow easy prey. Try using an Eppinger “Daredevil” or Northland “Jaw Breaker Weedless Spoon” both in 1/2oz weight.
Crappie/Sunfish- Crappies out a little deeper than sunfish, in about 10’-14’. While Sunfish are a little shallower in about 8’-12’.
Both looking for a VMC “Hot Skirt” in either 1/16th or 1/32nd, or a “Neon Moon Eye” in either 1/16th, or 1/32nd  tipped with a small crappie minnow, waxy, or leech.
