The Smokey Hills Wilderness Retreat
(Formerly "The Village of The Smokey Hills") is open
again as a Christian resort/retreat. We are excited to
showcase our property with lodging/dining for over 100
people. Enjoy our on site gift shop, coffee shop,
theater, game room, conference center & more.
Activities include volleyball, basketball, horse drawn wagon
rides, petting zoo, "Tour the Trails Guided ATV
rides", Chuck Wagon Supper Show with entertainment by
"The Smokey Hills Wranglers", and much more. Join us
for our Chicken and Rib Buffet on Wednesday nights and our
Sunday brunch.
We are conveniently
located in northwest Minnesota approximately 10 minutes west
of Park Rapids. Our mission is to be a place that allows for
rejuvenation of the body mind and spirit.
In this unspoiled landscape you can fish, hunt, ATV,
snowmobile, and much more. Our retreat has a lot of classic
up-north charm and relaxed atmosphere that you will love.
For the past two years Smokey Hills
Wilderness Retreat has been in development and is now open for you
to enjoy. Newly designed and themed cabins make each stay even more
relaxing and unique.
With
an onsite restaurant, Conference center, and 18 cabins we are
perfect for father son groups, ladies scrap booking groups, business
meetings, church groups, and family gatherings or retreats.
Our
cabins have private baths, televisions w/ DVD players, air
conditioning, mini refrigerators, a queen bed, and a set of bunk
beds. We also have on hand 3 suites that have a living area with a
pull out futon, table, and sink.
We have a full set of
activities for your enjoyment that include guided ATV tours with
rentals, scavenger hunts for the kids, bon fires, transportation to
the trails and or lakes in our 15 person shuttle, Snowmobiling, on site movie theater, coffee shop, gift shop,
game room, laundry facility, scrap booking space and equipment and
items to purchase.
Our
conference center is equipped with a full sound booth, electric
piano and projector room with drop down projector screen, for
speaker events, conferences and meetings.
